LaRetta Small-Zamora grew up in Kansas riding horses in the Flint Hills and learning about the beauty of the natural world around her.

She was educated in painting, sculpture and design in Kansas City. Florida was the background for her Design career. She was involved in the creation of furniture, fabrics, wall coverings and multimillion dollar homes in the operation of her Interior Design Business.

Moving to California inspired her to return to her art beginnings and it has resulted in her work juried into many prestigious shows as well as winning multiple awards.
Her work can be found in private collections across the country.

As an artist my goal is to have my paintings bring a joyful relationship with the natural world to the viewer. I want to create spaces where we remember, reconnect and appreciate the beauty around us.
