Laura Green is a San Diego-based acrylic painter whose work explores the connections between people and nature. Inspired by family hikes from mountains to coast, Green’s paintings are characterized by vibrant color palettes and expressive, loose brushwork that capture the energy and emotion of wild spaces.
Green holds a BA in Fine Arts from UC Santa Cruz, a certificate in Art and the Creative Process from UCSD, and a post-baccalaureate in Studio Arts from UC Berkeley. She is a resident artist at The Studio Door in Hillcrest and is represented by Cobalt Gallery in South Park. Green’s work has been exhibited in public spaces throughout Southern California, including multiple libraries in San Diego and Orange County, as well as projects with UCI Hospital and the City of Glendale.
Green’s current series investigates how nature is a symbolic sanctuary in our collective human history. Our connection to nature shapes memory, imagination, and a sense of belonging. Through her art, she aims to spark dialogue about conservation and the importance of preserving access to wild places for future generations.
